                          RUNGSTED CUP 2008
                          - for allersidste gang!
                                          - for the last time ever!

         - blev spillet lørdag den 26. januar 2008 og søndag den 27. januar 2008.




...Det var så den sidste gang, at Rungsted Curling Klub bød hold fra Sverige, Polen og 
Danmark velkommen til en "Rungsted Cup". 
"End Of The Line" - 2008 blev enden på en lang, lang linie af RCK-turneringer, som
gennem årene har haft forskellige temaer og koncepter, alle under navnet "Rungsted 
Cup" - til sidst "raffineret" til den form, der har været så trofast tilslutning til...!
Nu er det tid til at RCK går nye veje - tid til en ny turnering, tid til et nyt koncept. Vi
ser frem til næste gang at kunne invitere jer til en - nej, ikke "Rungsted Cup" - men
en...   ...ja, dét får I at se!

Søndag havde alle hold kvalificeret sig til Rungsted Cup, Øresund Cup og Sjælsø Cup.
Cup-kampene blev spillet over 8 ender.  Vindere af den sidste Rungsted Cup - 2008 -
blev "Team Särimner" fra Växjö Curling Club (S).  Finalekampen mellem "Team Särimner"
og sidste års vinder, "Team GCC 117" fra Gentofte Curling Club (DK), var meget tæt, men 
Växjö-holdet sejrede dette år - igen en flot kamp og et velfortjent bifald til begge hold.

RCK takker jer alle for jeres medvirken til den rigtig gode stemning ved den sidste 
"Rungsted Cup" - og glæder os til fremover at kunne byde både nye og "gamle" 
curlingvenner velkomne til en ny turnering i RCK-regi.
Der skal også lyde en stor tak til holdet, som sled bag turneringen.



...For the last time Rungsted Curling Klub could welcome teams from Sweden, Poland and Denmark to
a "Rungsted Cup".
"End Of The Line" - 2008 got to be the final year in a long, long line of RCK-tournaments, that through
the years has had different themes and concepts, all referred to as "Rungsted Cup" - finally "refined" 
to the form, that has experienced such a dedicated support...!
Now it's time for RCK to walk another path - time for a new tournament, time for a new concept.  Next
time we're looking forward to invite you to a - no, not another "Rungsted Cup" - but a...   ...well, you'll 
see...!

Sunday all teams had qualified for Rungsted Cup, Oeresund Cup or Sjaelsoe Cup.  The cup games were 
in 8 ends. The winning team of the final Rungsted Cup - 2008 - was "Team Särimner" from Växjö Curling
Club (S).  In a very close final match "Team Särimner" beat the 2007-winner, "Team GCC 117" from
Gentofte Curling Club (DK).  Once again a great match, and both teams got a well deserved applause.

RCK wish to thank you all  for making the final "Rungsted Cup" such a positive event - and in the 
future we're looking forward to welcome new as well as "old" curling friends to a new tournament 
organized by RCK.
